Make up review: Sleek i-Divine Candy Collection eye-shadow palette

Hi Everyone!

It's been far too long since my last post! I sincerely apologise for that...I've just been way to busy! Well let's get straight down to what the post will be on today eh? Well today I will be reviewing a certain product that I bought not so long ago, its a palette by Sleek Makeup, which is the new limited edition also known as the i-Divine Candy palette, as part of the Candy collection range, this is apparently limited edition! so grab it while you can!! The palette is available from Superdrugs, I bought this palette for £7.99 and I would say this is a definite bargain for the colours and the amount of pigmentation they have.

Ok well, I will just be giving you a brief description of the palette, and finally I will be showing you a swatch of each colours in a picture. the palette contains 12 different colours, which vary in colours, from blues, minty greens, purples and pinks...basically all things summer! The palette also includes a sponge applicator, which to be quite honest, I have not used, as I have used these applicators from a previous Sleek palette, and have found that they do not pick up much colour and does not apply or blend the shadow in very well. But hey, what more can we expect from a palette that is such a bargain?

I have not used all the colours on my eyes, as of yet, however, I have used a few of the pinks and blues from the candy palette (I have shown you an image of this above) and I would say I am loving the intensity and the richness of the colours, their just wonderful! The swatches below are on my arm, and they may not look as dark, but on the eyelids they come out wonderfully, well the colours I used did anyway, obviously after you have prep'd your eyes with some primer (I use urban decay's primer potion). Here's an image below of the swatch!

Swatches of each of the colours from the palette

Once again, enjoy, and I sincerely apologise for disappearing and not writing any Blog posts sooner, stay with me!! Love you all.

Take care!

Beauty Tip #4: Home-made face scrub

Hi Everyone!

I haven't been writing as consecutively as I did when I started this blog, reason being is that it gets quite hard to write every day with other things to do in life! So I will try my utmost best to try to write at least every two days!! Promise!! So today's Blog post will be about a home-made face scrub that not only gently exfoliates your skin but leaves it feeling like a baby's bottom! (I swear that's how it's felt for me anyway...do get back to me with your own version of events!!).

When I came across this home-made scrub, I was a little reluctant to use it at first as I suffered from severe acne on and off, plus I had extremely sensitive skin, making things ten times worse. I couldn't use shop-bought scrubs as my skin reacted to them, so I finally convinces myself to try this out! (Please for everyone reading this, before you try this on the whole of your face, try it on a small section of your skin, to test if you are sensitive to this ingredient or not).

So the ingredients that you will need for this scrub are:
Bicarbonate Soda (remember!! it's Bicarbonate Soda NOT baking powder...they are not the same...baking powder is powdery while the soda is slightly grainy...the right texture to exfoliate skin), and some water. If you can find a little pot to store this mixture in then that would be great! as this will save you from having to keep making the mixture constantly.

Once you have the ingredients ready, what you need to do is add two tablespoons of soda to 1 tablespoon water. The mixture needs to be like a paste, it shouldn't be too runny or two thick...preferably in between. However, if after using the paste on your face you feel it is too coarse then add a little more water, this should lessen the rough feeling.

When you have made the mixture, wash your face thoroughly, then take a little of the mixture and in circular motions scrub gently into your face. Wash off thoroughly, and wipe your face, and finally apply your moisturisers.

So there you have your very own home-made scrub without all the extra chemicals in it! and it is way cheaper than your shop-bought exfoliating face scrub!

Till next time people! Keep reading, liking and please comment for any further improvements or topics that you may want to see on my Blog!

Ciao!

Beauty Tip #3: Natural rememdies to lighten dark lips

Hi Everyone!

It feels like I haven't blogged in ages...even though it's been only a day or two...I think? Any ways!! well today's blog post was actually inspired by something my sister said...she was asking me to do some research for her on natural ways to help her stop her lips pigmenting so much...you see she has quite dark lips naturally and she tans real quick! But, recently her lips have been pigmenting quite a bit. So she asked me to help research some remedies that will help lighten or possibly prevent her lips pigmenting further...so I got a lightbulb moment...and thought why not make this my next topic for my blog post?

Numero uno...so from the previous knowledge that I have...I know that lemon juice is one natural product that helps in eliminating and lightening dark spots/scars etc...I have tried it myself and I have seen many results from this natural ingredient! I have have had many...and I mean many bad experiences with acne on and off during my late teenage and adolescent years...from which I have quite a few dark spots on my face...I would definitely say that my home-made facial scrub (wait for my next blog post!!! :P) and lemon juice have literally helped my face in so many ways! So back to the topic at hand...I have been researching, and I have found many sites where they mention to apply lemon juice to the lips, just get like a couple of squeezes from an actual fresh lemon (not from a bottle!) and dab it all over your lips before you go to sleep...keep doing this overnight and wait to see if there is any difference! (I will try this remedy myself and recommend this to my sister too!).

Number two: once again I shall be mentioning a product that I have spoken about before...Honey! Honey is an amazing natural ingredient with many beneficial factors...I have personally tried this one myself, mainly to keep my lips supple and soft, as I have mentioned before I suffer from dry skin...yes even on my lips...so I made a sugar scrub...I used about 1 tbsp of honey, 1 tsp of sugar and 1 tsp of lemon; mix the ingredients together, if the paste is not thick and gooey...which it needs to be...add more sugar, until it looks thick enough to not drip everywhere. This mixture is quite messy so be ready for this..(the things we have to do eh?). So take a little of the mixture and scrub your lips using this, in light circular motions, be gentle...don't put too much pressure...and then wash off. I have felt the difference in my lips after using this little trick...I hope you do! This method is believed to not only exfoliate and remove the dry dead skin from your lips...but the lemon and honey in the mixture is believed to lighten dark lips and to leave it looking rosy! I hope this does work for you guys out there! Another method that you can try is to directly apply some honey over your lips and leave overnight, as if you are using a balm on you lips, let it dry and let your lips absorb the ingredient...keep trying these methods it should work wonders!

I have already hinted what my next post will be about! So please keep reading, liking, following my blog and stay tuned!! Till next time!

Ciao!
